Sheila managed the St John Ambulance Sitting Service which provides support for carers who are caring in their own homes for an adult who is frial or disabled. Sheila is an ex-carer and has run a Carers Support Group for a local voluntary organisation. She has an understanding of the need for providing respite services to carers who are often under pressure from providing care and support to relatives with a disability who need constant attention.

The skills and experience that Sheila brings to the Board of Trustees includes:

Sheila has experience of working in a Social Services environment and has worked in several voluntary organisations and developing services. She also has experience of running her own business for 15 years and has people management skills and good organisational skills as well as being a trained counsellor.
