We are really excited to be working with schools in Milton Keynes in the upcoming months. Research has found that 1 in 8 children in schools could be a young carer, so working in schools is going to be a great way to help support and identify young carers in Milton Keynes.

There has been much research carried out recently regarding young carers in schools, and so we want to be able to work with the schools by providing workshops, support groups, training sessions and assemblies to better equip schools with knowledge on how to identify a young carer and support them where we can.

This is a really exciting time for Young Carers MK to be working within schools so that we can all work together to provide the right resources and structure for young carers living in Milton Keynes.
