Garden Getaway

For carers of all ages and those they care for. A family inclusive activity promoting positive physical and mental wellbeing. Bring a trowel, fork, spade (if you have one) or a book and a chair and enjoy time in nature with others. 

Weekly on Tuesdays (starting on 3rd September 2024), 3pm–5pm at Allotment Gate, MK12 5RR.

Carers MK Peer Support Facebook Group

Join our Carers MK Peer Support Facebook Group to chat with other carers, offer tips and ideas, share experiences about what has helped you in your caring role, or just simply say how you’re feeling. This closed private group is for carers aged 18+ who are registered with Carers MK, and it will be monitored by Carers MK on weekdays 9am – 4.30pm.

New online support tool for unpaid carers

Bridgit Care, funded by Milton Keynes City Council, have partnered with Carers MK to provide an online support tool for unpaid carers in Milton Keynes. Get info to help in your caring role, health and wellbeing advice, WhatsApp coaching and more.

Carer’s Leave Act

On 6th April 2024, the Carer’s Leave Act 2023 came into force, giving employees with unpaid caring roles the right to take up to five days of unpaid leave from work each year to fulfil their caring responsibilities.
