About Carers MK

What We Do

Carers MK supports unpaid carers of all ages, from all backgrounds and in all caring roles. This includes young carers, young adult carers, parents of children with a physical or learning disability, older carers, carers from diverse communities, LGBTQ+ carers and those looking after someone with a mental health condition. Carers MK also provides support for unpaid carers and the person they care for whilst in Milton Keynes University Hospital.

What We Provide

  • Help with knowing carers' rights and entitlements
  • Guidance on health and social care services
  • Help to create an emergency plan
  • Carer groups, workshops and activities
  • An opportunity to meet other carers
  • A listening ear and someone to talk to in confidence
  • A free counselling service
  • Carers support at at Milton Keynes University Hospital
  • Referrals to other services
  • Bi-annual 'Carers News' newsletter

All carers contacting Carers MK are able to speak to an experienced support worker. Please contact us to arrange a telephone appointment.
