Carers MK Festival 2024
On Wednesday 13th March 2024, Carers MK held a Carers Festival Information Hub at The Church of Christ The Cornerstone. The event, held in conjunction with Milton Keynes City Council, was a great opportunity for lots of partner agencies to come together to showcase how their organisations support carers or those that are being cared for.
In total, there were 20 organisations; Admiral Nurses Service, Age UK Milton Keynes, Alzheimer’s Society, Carers MK, Community Alarm Service, Diabetes UK MK, Healthwatch Milton Keynes, Hub Care Support, Milton Keynes CAMHS, Milton Keynes City Council Children with Disabilities Team, Milton Keynes City Council SEND Team,
Milton Keynes University Hospital, MK SENDIAS, MKCIL, MS Society – Milton Keynes and District Group, Mytime, PACA MK, Parkinson’s UK MK, Pencarrow Mews – Homeless Team Milton Keynes City Council and The Parks Trust.
There was also an opportunity to take time out in our Carers Café, where carers could sit and chat to one another, and enjoy teas and coffees and pastries kindly donated by Brioche Pasquier UK.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to the Carers Festival information hub, it was wonderful to see so many carers! Also thank you to all the organisations for joining us and being part of the day. It was great to see so many services coming together to show how we can all support carers in Milton Keynes.
